This instrument identifies an individual's skills and highlights the possibility for acquiring new skills, coupled with the realignment of the learnt skills with one's unique thinking preferences. As is often the case, one's skills profile may differ from one's preference profile. This occurs due to the misalignment between natural inclination, or preferences, and our artificially-assimilated skills. That is, one's preference does not guarantee or infer the necessary skills required. For example, one may enjoy singing but lack the skills to become an accomplished singer-songwriter. On the other hand, one may have acquired certain skills merely as a means to survival, despite the absence of any particular preference for the practical tasks associated with those skills. For example, a person endowed with excellent numeracy skills may have little regard for the accounting profession, and is therefore disinclined (though not unable) to pursue a career in accounting. These findings refer to the need for balance between our preferences and the acquisition of skills to follow from them in the pursuit of conscious self development. In practice, the findings outline the difficulties related to sustained energy when the correlation between a preference profile and skills profile is low.The implication is that, throughout one's life, while having very prominent inclinations to one particular area of interest, one unknowingly neglects or loses out on worthwhile opportunities in underdeveloped areas. This profile is ideal for those who wish to develop the new and vital skills for deeper personal and professional development.

Further analysis of your thinking preferences can be done in consultation with a practitioner to explore self-exploration and self-development.
